Trust Bank PLC Partners with Bangladesh Bank under BDT 41,000 Crore Refinancing Package
Trust Bank PLC has partnered with Bangladesh Bank to Support Priority Sectors in the process of which it has signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank under the central bank’s BDT 41,000 crore Refinancing Package.
The agreement was signed on August 27, 2026, at Bangladesh Bank Headquarters with Trust Bank represented by Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director, and Md. Zahurul Karim Chowdhury, Head of Treasury and NRB Division. The ceremony was also attended by Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governors Dr. Md. Kabir Ahmed and Md. Sarwar Hossain, along with senior officials from Bangladesh Bank.
Through affordable pre-finance and refinance facilities, the initiative aims to restart closed factories, support CMSMEs, expand agriculture, promote export diversification, develop regional economic hubs, and generate employment.
By participating in this timely initiative, Trust Bank PLC reaffirms its commitment to channeling affordable credit into productive sectors and contributing to inclusive growth, employment generation, and national economic resilience.
